I am happy to announce that the writing of Creative Voices, the local writers’ group to which I belong, is featured in issue #454 of The Weekly Avocet, August 15, 2021. Charles Portolano, editor/author/publisher, featured two summer, nature-themed poems by each member of Creative Voices.
My two poems were “Leisurely Observers,” which was inspired by my observation of Eastern painted turtles basking in a local pond, and “Longing,” which was inspired by a family vacation to Maine. I hope you enjoy my poems, as well as those by the other members of Creative Voices and writers of the Avocet community.
